Step out of Ealing Broadway station, take a few steps to the left, and you’ll get a whiff of the delicious waffles cooking up at the Load of Waffle. They actually put a fan in the window that blows out onto the pavement; to keep it cool inside, they’ll claim, but it’s obviously to ensnare passersby.

They do make tasty waffles, it’s true, and you can get them with all sorts of toppings: chocolate, jam, ice cream. They serve some other pastries and small bites, plus bottled drinks and coffee. It’s mainly a take-away stand, with perhaps a stool or two inside. My suggestion: get a waffle and walk back across the street to Haven Green, sit on the lawn, and enjoy it.

When you walk down the Ealing Broadway tube station, you won't be able to resist this hot and sweet smell that comes from this tiny shop. Load of Waffle is home to the most succulent belgian waffles. They also serve crepes but they're not as goog as those waffles. Ladies, forget about your diet, you gotta taste this!
