Premier Inn Belfast City Centre (Alfred Street)

I have stayed in many hotels in Belfast over the last couple of decades, but this is now my favourite. The staff are great, really friendly and like to have a chat if they’re not too busy. Very convenient for the city centre etc. Rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable. Have never seen any the the ‘ladies of the night’ mentioned by another reviewer, or anything remotely dodgy.

Not being from Belfast, I didn't realise that Alfred Street is a rather specific area where a certain sort of lady might offer her wares, at least, not until after I'd already checked out of the Premier Inn and then was told by a colleague.

The news didn't alter the fact that I had a perfectly pleasant stay at this Premier Inn, up to the usual standards in terms of comfort, cleanliness, quality of furnishings and food and the like, so I'm not really too fussed about the ladies of the night allegation.

One addition I particularly liked was the potato cakes at breakfast. I'd have liked soda bread on offer too but I wasn't surprised it wasn't - it's all much of a muchness at Premier Inn - you know what you're getting, don't you?
