Compliment
Ngatcha (20-01-2008)
Behind the tall trees near the end of the Holborn Viaduct and below street level lies a church that was partly rebuilt after the war. From the outside it may seem bland, but when you walk in the interior finishes capture you. On an evening when there is a hymn service the oak finishes are highlighted by the light and the incense smoke creates a bit more intensity in the religious painting’s behind them. The enjoyment of the church is increased when the sounds of Latin and English hymns as well as the organ boom, across the high-ceilinged room.
