When i went to the London Aquarium, i loved every minute of it. It was so interesting. The fish were amazing, and so were the prices! The different species of fish made the best because u find out loads about them and also you get to touch some fish on the open tank. That for me was the best part. Even though i went there quite a long time ago i remember every part of it. Its one of them attractions in London which are popular for the whole family and everyone would enjoy it.
I recommend it.

Fantastic experience well worth the entrance fee. The sheer variety of the species of fish here is amazing from sharks to stingrays theres a huge amount of menacing sea creatures to keep you entertained (and if your like me scared out of your mind lol)

Definitely one for both kids and adults. Though a bit pricey, Adults 18+ yrs - £13.25, Children 3-14 yrs - £9.75 so it’s worth checking for deals e.g. the 2 for 1 offer http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/london-aquarium. Once inside it’s a great experience. The Aquarium is classed into zones based on the various climates/parts of the world (atlantic, coral, rainforest etc). The shark tank is quite popular and there is a photo stand where you can have your pictures taken and have a fishy themed background added. There used to be a touch pool where you could pet the rays and fish. This was stopped in May 2008 when the Aquarium came under new management (something to do with Health & Safety regulations - spoil sports!). It’s also worth checking their website so you can coincide your visit with the various dives, feeds and talks.

I was disappointed….sorry. I thought it was expensive for what you got.
There is no denying that what is in there, is worth seeing. I just felt that when i came to the end of it, i was like ‘oh….wheres the rest???’ it was a shame as i was really starting to enjoy myself.
I loved the touching pool where you could touch the rays. Great for kids, but honestly i though it cost a lot for what it was. Other than that its a great day out (well however long it takes you to walk round)

I originally come from a coastal town and was very excited about seeing all that the London Aquarium had to offer! I must say that I enjoyed it tremendously. The terrapin were my favourite!

The way that they have set up the building makes it feel like you’re exploring underwater and there is theme music to support the area or natural habitat for each display. Another highlight were the huge windows displaying the sharks and rays… You could get a great picture seated in front of the window with a shark seemingly swimming up to you from behind! (quite convincing…)

I also actually enjoyed that there was not too much to see… It felt like the perfect dose of fish-finding to me!

I would recommend that you go and have a look!
(Apparently there was a time when you could touch the rays in the splash pool- but one can no longer do that it seems!)

The location is perfect, right by the River Thames and next to London Eye, so ideal if you want to take in more than one sight. Having said that you can easily spend a few hours in the aquarium. For someone like me, who can’t swim, let alone dive, it gives a special insight into the water world. I loved the different sections of habitat and the fact that fish were swimming above you in the water tunnels, truly magical. It has a large selection of species and a touch pool to get even closer to the beasts, great stuff.

We took some relatives to this Aquarium yesterday and we thought it was a great place to visit. We did read all the bad reviews on this site beforehand - but decided to see for ourselves. The talks on the fish were fascinating and the touch-pool area was great for the kids. Their are plenty of signs everywhere to stop

I love the London Aquarium. It has a pretty decent variety of fish and is easy to get to.

The sharks are easily the best thing there, and feeding time is pretty cool - they dart about, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it style, and being able to go up and touch the rays is nice.

I’d say it’s fun for very young kids, and interesting for adults, but for kids somewhere in the middle they tend to get bored quite quickly as it can be repetitive. To that end, it would be nice if they changed things around a bit every so often.

It can also be a bit mazey in there, with the route not being that easy to follow, but you can wander round at your own pace so if you miss something you can always go back. It also gets pretty hot in there, so take some water!

I have lived near london all my life and one weekend decided to spend it sight seeing in london. The top two places on my list were the london eye and the aquarium. I am not a fish boffin nor do i have a particular interest in fish, but i do enjoy seeing living things. I have now been to the aquarium mabe 3 or 4 times and have enjoyed each and every visit. It is easy to get to as you just head for westminster and then walk over the bridge. Pre book your tickets online so that you avoid any possible ques - especially in the summer. This will probably also save you money!
On entrance to the aquarium you will a fiesta (or a similar car if my memory has failed me) full of fish! It is really funny to see a car as a fish tank and is a great pic moment for the kids.
The aquarium is divided into levels and you follows arrows around. There are lots of different fish - and also crabs, sea horses jelly fish and so forth. Some of the fish are really scary and ugly! The main attraction is the shark tank. Its huge and you can see into it through windows on many levels. At certain times they feed the sharks which is brilliant to watch and kids will love it. Check website for times.
If you get hungry they have a little cafe but its cheaper i think to go to McDs outside or the little chinese place opposite McDs where we ate.
There is also a souvenir shop for the kids to pink trinkets.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this place - with or without kids!
Ps. the aquarium has a great ‘touch tank’ where you get to touch some fish…..

Considering I’ve been a Londoner all my life and have never been to the London Aquarium before I allowed my partner to persuade me to go. I'm not a particularly huge fan of fish, but as a Londoner I thought it was my duty to see what was swimming around in the tanks of the aquarium.
Firstly, it involves the action of queuing, which is ok in summer, but of course in our English winter weather and being right on the river doesn't often equate in a happy queuer. Nevertheless there are perks, there are many concession tickets available for unemployed people, families, students and so forth and if you visit the London Aquarium website before going you can print off a 20% discount voucher which allowed us to pick up two ten pound tickets!
I must say that I was disappointed by the aquarium, I imagined it to be a lot bigger with a greater range of fish, I’m not saying that I am completely clued up on the subject of fish, but I am a big David Attenborough fan and I found that I find his documentaries far more thrilling than I found the aquarium to be. I suppose I shouldn't be so harsh, I’m sure I’m not the aquarium’s target demographic – it’s definitely a place for younger kids. This is a great family trip for the weekend, the kids love it and I suppose the big kid in men would always find this a cool trip to go on too.
My main interest were the sharks, which isn't surprising, anything I find terribly scary I always seem to be deeply intrigued by. The sharks were incredibly impressive and I even took the time to listen to the very informative shark talk.
If you arrive at certain times you can watch the shark being fed, which I bet heightens the aquarium experience - I’d definitely advise checking out the times for this on the net before you go so you can catch this.
If fish are your forte then why not visit the London Aquarium?
