When I first moved to London, Winkworth was the estate agent that housed me (for a fee). Winkworth are still the estate agent that house me because I haven’t moved in 3 years.
My house is managed by them as the landlord lives abroad, so I have to deal with them directly when we have any problems. When we first moved to Shepherd’s Bush they were pretty helpful and friendly. These days the service we get from them varies considerably from friendly and helpful to just plain rude. Additionally, every time the tenancy has to be renewed they hike up the rent and charge us an admin fee. This seems grossly unfair to me, because surely by us staying there means they don’t have to find new tenants and sort out new contracts, references and all the rest of it?
I would like a bit if reward for our loyalty to them, and I wish with all my heart that they would get rid of the mice that have made themselves comfortable in my house.
Still, they’re not that bad, considering estate agents are notoriously awful.
