Compliment Batterseabluesky (29-01-2008) 5

London is notorious for being an expensive city, but it doesn’t all have to be that way, some of the best museums are in fact free. Lots of people don’t seem to realise. There is the National gallery at Trafalgar sq. for all those old masters. If you are more modern you can of course head along to the trendy Tate Modern on the south bank or for the traditionalists among you there is the Tate Britain just near Vauxhall bridge. For Fashionistas the V&A has the most amazing fashion collections from 100’s of years as well as applied arts. Then there is the science museum just around the corner in South Ken, the natural history museum – the architecture alone is worth a trip. Or the British museum at Holborn with it’s Egyptian artefacts and so much more (you can even book a kids party for under 12s to sleep with the Mummies!!). And none of them cost a penny to get in. So what are you waiting for, grab a sandwich and your travel card and get going!!
