“Le Suquet is a well-established French "Seaside Restaurant and consequently the seafood and fish are the most popular things on the menu. The atmosphere is warm, romantic, "you feel like you are at home". Fresh varieties of fish , lobsters , clams ,...” more...

I went here with a friend of mine who is a big fan. I did like it, just was nothing special. The seafood was good and we had generous portions. The wine was well priced for the quality.
The atmosphere was tad lack lustre, and there was many staff with not much to do.
When we complained about the amount of mussels that were closed, we were given another bowl immediately.
I've been meaning to visit Le Bouchon Bordelais for a while and took the plunge today. I wish we hadn't! The good points: my steak was good and the ice cream was too. Unfortunately, my girlfriends Monkfish was first brought out uncooked and then overcooked. There was minimal apology and the service was stereotypical for a French restaurant, a bit cold and uncaring. My girlfriend is now unwell having eaten half of the overcooked fish, we rang the restaurant to tell them and they hung up! Rude and unwelcome. I'm never going back.
Andrew Hunter Wow. I'm amazed they hung up on you when you called them up! I've actually had good experiences at Le Bouchon, but i can't see myself ordering the Monkfish in the future!

Batterseabluesky We have been quite a number of times and eaten in the bar. I’d say it is average, sometimes a really good atmosphere, the acoustic guitar is good, but the service can be seriously patchy (they are nice waitresses, but too often over stretched or inexperienced). Quite a few times we have found the food overly greasy (as if they haven’t changed the oil) and when it’s not peak time, things have not tasted overy fresh (hard (soft) cheese, yesterdays baguette). Wine is good. I really want to say it is great as it does have a good feel about it, but I’d have to be convinced again as Entree accross the road (newish French cuisine) really blows its socks off.

I have only been to the Bouchon Bordelais on a few occasions, once for dinner and the other times, mainly to watch Football or Rugby.
The restaurant did not impress me particularly at the time but will need to give it another go soon as it was over a year ago. I found it expensive at the time and not necessarily that wonderful. But Stay tuned! as I'll come back here and let you know!
Also, being French, I have to admit that you''ll have the best atmosphere in there for French gatherings around some sports extravaganza...although I'll probably make no comment on the current World Cup "Santa Barbara" fiasco...I have to say that watching Rugby (I'm more of a rugby fan anyway, wonder why now?) in this place it's amazing!!! Hearing everyone singing along to "La Marseillaise" is a bliss and there's overall always an excellent atmosphere!!
Drinks are reasonably priced and staff always very friendly.

I like this place. Not overpriced, but very well presented quality French food.

Fantastic authentic venue- great for watching sport but without the typical 'sports bar' feel and the seperate restaurant serves probably the best food in the area. The staff are generally very friendly though the maitre de does seem a little too keen on my girlfriend (he's a good guy really)! Would definitely recommend!
A lovely place to sit with friends for a long gossip! Fantastic place to taste good wine and enjoy!
Possibly South London’s best French restaurant. Le Bouchon Bordelais VERY popular with the French people living in London, and rightly so, this is some of the nicest food i have had outside of Paris. The steaks are perfectly cooked and the service is (amazingly) friendly! Forget everything you’ve heard about Parisian waiters, our chap over the weekend was very polite and helpful. Beer comes by the jug (about £7 as far as i can remember) and the atmosphere is boisterous after 10pm.
This is a great place to watch live sport (particularly when France are playing). I remember people spilling out onto the street during the football world cup!
A must for all visitors to Clapham.
This is the French place by excellence. My big group of French friends love it and I do too. This is one of the best places in London for snails (with butter, percil and garlic, yum!). We ordered a seafood platter to share, and was a bit dissappointed at the portions, as it was quite pricey. Good thing we also ordered the green salad and the French beans! This place is great for groups too, and the service is not bad. The staff are well trained but can be a bit too “Parisian waiter - style”, so could be a bit arrogant and seemed annoyed. But overall, great place to eat, wine list is extremely good too - but it all comes with a big price tag!
Went to le Bouchon to support the French during the Euro 2008 football championships. Probably didn’t see it in it’s best state - all the tables pulled aside, rammed full of French football fans, loads of beer being passed around, blue, red and white everywhere and frantic staff.
Had a great night even though France lost to Italy, and managed to sample both the beer (expect Kronenburg by the jug full) and bar snacks - the tuna mayo baguette was heavenly! (Although at £6, it would want to be)
The atmosphere was Parisienne, and the mood, boisterous!
Would love to return for a nice dinner on their bistro for a fix of snails, french onion soup and porc aux pommes et calvados - only the French know how!
A lovely quiet and classy place just round the corner from Clapham Common. Serves quite an original menu with something for everybody. Seems quite authentic with it's French style and the staff are friendly & welcoming. A fine wine list too. A lovely place to sit with friends for a long gossip! Think they're open til about Midnight.
