Compliment

The idea of reviewing a supermarket might seem banal and mundane but considering they're such an intrinsic part of most of our daily lives that's not really the case...
This branch of Waitrose is located underneath John Lewis and it's just the right size: not too large to be bewildering and not too small to be frustrating. The staff, typical of the John Lewis ethos, are well-trained, pleasant and helpful. The quality of the produce here is very good (and they are often innovative in some of the lines they stock) but the prices frequently reflect the high standards. Their flowers are gorgeous but can sometimes feel a bit of a luxury, especially the creative bouquets which are best reserved as a treat (when you see the price tags you'll realise what I mean...)
