The hype about this place really is to be believed, the food is lovely and still surprisingly big and fairly priced portions- they haven't let their reputation go to their head. It usually is pretty full so maybe book ahead or be prepared to wait a fair bit to get a table. It was a lovely meal and the staff are really friendly, a great night all in all!
A great place to eat! Slightly unusual in that the evening menu is a six to nine course fixed price menu. When we went the theme was Tuscany and all the dishes were typical of the food from the region.
The food was really excellent, with diligent service from the waiting staff complimenting it. The chef made my pregnant fiance special versions of several of the courses to remove items that she couldn’t eat.
Highly highly recommended.

This place stocks a large selection of Italisn meats, olives, cheeses and breads. It’s a little cafe too so you can enjoy a coffee and cake in there if you fancy. I can recommend their olives and parma ham.
The only complaint I have about this place is that it isn’t nearer the “central drag” of Headingley and you have to navigate some compllicated road crossing to get there. Otherwise it’s great

We managed to get in the early bird menu which was great value for money. It’s a small restaurant which is family owned, we opted for the lamb and the duck. The lamb was the most tender I have ever tasted! The staff were very friendly and made effort to chat with us. They don’t take bookings because it gets that busy and have recently started opening on Sundays. A very cosy place, perfect for a Sunday evening.

There are some good dishes on the menu here, over priced, but simple, fresh and nicely presented. Too many students during term time pile in for the early bird, which is poor in my opinion, and service is very studently lacadazical. For better food in the local vacinity i would try Dough Bistro or Medici Tapas, which are both far more reasonably priced, and in the case of Dough, far far better food.

Salvo’s - short for Salvatore, Salumeria - an Italian delicatessen is a fair sized café owned by Salvo himself in Leeds also providing authentic, Italian quality delicacies to people who required genuine Italian produce. Me and my partner were lucky enough to meet Salvo, who is Sicilian as is my partner. A friend who lives in Leeds took us here for my partners’ birthday, we spent the day toasting his birthday with Pinot Grigio, chilling in this little Italy. My partner said that this café is probably the closest thing to being in Sicily in the UK. Whilst there I ate a sausage Lasagne, which was absolutely delicious, my partner and his friend has roast chicken wrapped in parma ham with mozzarella, for desert we had a selections of cakes and a desert wine called Marsala – which has a similar taste to Sherry. After feeling nice and content by our intake of foods and wines we enjoyed coffees, Italian biscuits and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
