Firstly, the owner does not try to screw you over.
I am the owner who you have never met, and there is a policy of not allowing people to just order a starter. This is unfortunately been implemented to deter the soup and tap water brigade. I am running a proper restaurant, not a caf. I dont assume you would go into Gordon Ramseys restaurants and behave in the same manner?
Why dont you have the courage to ask for the owner, who would have explained the situation to you. As you have noticed you have been allowed to just order starters on previous occasions, and the waitresses have bent the rules to accomodate you. Maybe you just did not realise this.
Do you write reviews about your doctors screwing you over for £200.00 for a 15 minute consultation, or your plumber charging you £100.00 for a callout charge of 20 minutes, or all the other people who have been screwing you.
Does someone come to your place of work and review your every move. On good days and on bad days. Think about it !!!
About the change aspect to your bill. I think there has been a misunderstanding. The restaurant is absolutely scrupulous in its honesty. Maybe the waitress honestly thought you had left a tip. Accept my apologies for this aspect of your review. A tip of this size is not uncommon at all.

Is there a rule stating that I cannot write about a restaurant I own when I have eaten there. If you can review it, so can I. I have the same rights as you. I am thanking the chefs and waitress for their great work. It was amazingly delicious and as I said, the service was warm and friendly. I could not have asked for more.
I meant what I wrote about you, maybe you should take a bit of notice of my reply to you.
