small club but tues and friday are the best nights, not over crowded but still a good vibe and music overall worth the night out.

i must say a very good night out on a thursday night the venue, the people, the bar staff and door men are all nice people and are willing to help out in any difficulties. the music is good and everyone is there to have a nice time so its a definate tryer if you can wake up to go to work on a friday but if not you better book it off.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST CLUB I’VE EVER BEEN TO, DO NOT GO HERE. THE STAFF AT THE DOOR ARE RUDE AND PATRONISING, THE BAR IS NOT AMAZING, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE POOR TREATMENT YOU RECEIVE, AND THE MUSIC WASN’T VERY GOOD, THEY PLAYED AT LEAST TWO SONGS TWICE IN THE SPACE OF TWO HOURS. There is no mention on their website under the ‘dress code’ section that girls are not allowed to wear open toe flat shoes. When we got to the entrance, at least three girls were wearing them and were refused entry. Two hours later I went outside and saw a girl being let in with open toe flat shoes. One of the doormen commented to the door-woman that the girl was allowed in and she muttered and shrugged it off. I have never come across such arrogance. I can’t believe these members of staff have the audacity to treat and speak to paying customers in this way. DO NOT GO TO FUNKY BUDDHA, IT IS A RUBBISH CLUB! I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND AT LEAST TEN OTHER GIRLS: ZERO OUT OF FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

only been here twice, both on tuesdays but it was amazing had a great time, went to the mayfair hotel for cocktails and then into funkybuddha, great music not to over priced, about normal for that area, door staff were cool, apart from 1, who just had an attuide problem it didnt ruin my night tho, if i could i would probally go every tuesday but cant handle the hangova's in mid week, anyway if anyone is thinking about going i would definatly recommend you to go and give it a try, i did and really enjoyed it.

If you are looking for a place with good music, be aware of funky buddha. The thursday night is one of the most famous night of the club and it was a joke. The Dj's repetead three times the same music, and they play the same RnB and eletronic music as the other places in London, with an expensive entrance and overpriced drinks.
Good for who doesn't mind about music and is trying a 'selected' place.

The club is downstairs. Lots of interesting buddha statues around the bar and incense sticks burning so smells quite nice. Nice, small club. Music is varied, usually funky house and rnb. Vodka/Coke is about £8, Vodka/RedBull £11 so can be quite pricey but think they are double shots. Cloakroom is £1.50. Doorstaff and barstaff are friendly. Girls toilets are upstairs unless you’re in VIP then they are at the back of the club. There aren’t many toilets and it is really dark so quite hard to do your make up etc. There are 2 bars, one in main room and another small one in the back VIP room. Best nights to go are when Wes and CJ do their parties on Sundays.

Went to Funky Buddha one the first night after the refurbishment, did not see that much difference. It has always been a popular spot for oriental people, but the bar staff are slow, drinks over priced. And the music so so. Don’t really know how it got the reputation, maybe it’s a mayfair thing. Entrance is expensive, but that is just normal in that area.

charlieboytoday, 24 September 2010:
Funky Buddha has been recently refurbished and what a difference it makes. It no longer seems like a tacky haunt of every big brother star that ever was, but rather a classy, fun venue in the heart of Mayfair that guarentees a good night out.
The nights vary however so be warned. During the week you get a more London based crowd albeit with the odd sprinkling of footballers and glamour models but where dont you in central London?! Tues and Fri nights are good and busy not doesnt feel over crowded in the small club. Sat nights are very busy as expected and the crowd is noticably different, great if your from Essex, not so great if your not.
