Went for a cheeky glass of wine there last Fri and was pleasantly suprised. The bar prices are just as lovely to look at as the staff. I ordered a glass of white and a pint of fosters and it was about £6.20.

There are lots of places to sit and its not so loud that you can’t have a chat. They also sell food, small bar snacks etc

What you can’t tell from the outside is that the is a large downstairs Basement for dancing and hard partying! It is rather wierd though and reminded me a bit of a swimming pool as there are tiles, metal rails and metal steps. My friend said she heard that it used to be turkish bath? Interesting!

Worth going to. The door staff have a sense of humour and you can have a bit of banter. Which is how I prefer it.

The only thing going a miss is an “excuse me.” The bar staff do shove you around a bit. Yes it is crowded by the bar but say excuse me and I will move, do not shove me. I said to my friends I must be standing somewhere awkward and they said everywhere you stand is awkward?

To sum up, don’t go if easily irritated, do go if it’s friday night and you want a glass of wine, a gossip and a boogie.

Situated next to the Wimbledon Studios stage door, regular trade will consist of performers from the two theatres on site. However, there are plenty of other non-performing regulars, purely because this relaxed bar environment still manages to give you the feeling that you are doing more than going for a drink, but you are somewhere a bit more fancy. Background music is reflected on TV screens, either in an effect similar to Windows Media Player or with music videos. Big football matches are screened but as a big deal of advertising is not made, there is no crush at the bar, and you don’t have to shout over chants to be heard by your friend next to you.
