Situated in the heart of Zurich this old armoury nearby the Paradeplatz offers not only for tourists a place to stop by for good traditional Swiss food. The astonishing wooden ceiling with some miltary accessories conveys a bit of the original atmosphere in this over 500 years old building. The food is very tasty and comes on large plates. Besides many sorts of Swiss sausages you can go for different sorts of pork or sliced veal, among others. The seating at large tables offers the opportunity to get quickly acquainted with strangers. But you find local people here as well, though the menu which comes in eight languages also indicates the international character of this place. Check out the lunch dish which is with CHF 19.50 quite inexpensive compared to other Zurich restaurants.
