London's first German pub. Don't expect any 'oompapa' nonsense please because Zeitgeist is NOT a Bavarian themed place. In fact it is a nice quite big decent pub. Recently opened the landlords did a good job re refurbishing and the locals seemed to have accepted the fact that Germans are running 'their' neighbourhood pub. More than thirty German beers from the tab and in the bottle are available, as well as good quality German food, well whatever that means really, but you'll get classics like Schnitzel (pork escalope) or Nuernberger (spicy sausages), all well cooked by a German chef. The staff is friendly and if you're worried about how to get there, take a closer look a the map and you'll find out immediately that it's only a nice twenty minutes stroll away along the river from Westminster.

I like the look of the menu! Jaeger Schnitzel and Currywurst! Not bad prices either (well, on the lunch menu). I think I'm going to have to find some Kartoffelsuppe to try in Hamburg - it sounds great. Also interesting sounding are the bar snacks...
