Compliment

The Scala (or "La Scala" to the initiated) is not really a location, but a state of mind. Though drinks are fairly pricey, they are downed quickly. Sweat drips from the walls in the lower rooms where bodies shake to equally sweaty beats. Sunglass-wearing women and close-shaven men decorate the dark corners of the upper bars. Stilettos spill down the stairs and in and out of washrooms. At some point you just have the feeling that someone is going to drag you up onto one of the stages to dance(after the main act of the night has vacated, of course). This would probably be the correct moment to leave, but it seems in La Scala there's always one more shot, one more look, one more song that you or one of your flanking and flagging friends just has to dance to. Consider yourselves duly warned, and have fun!
