Fashionable, hip and trendy bar in the popular Bedford Place area of Southampton. Attracts the young professional crowd and the upmarkets students. Closer to the Soton Institute than the Uni. Has funky club feel to it Thursday-Sat evenings, when the upstairs bar is open and there’s a wicked DJ up there on Friday nights. Cocktails are fantastic. They do food in the day and early evenings, with 2-4-1 pizzas early in the week, which is really good value. Live DJs Thursday-Sat/Sunday, with some famous faces popping in on occasion. Carl Cox (Ex-Radio1, in case you’re not sure who he is…) once sponsored me £50 for a 10k run I was doing. It’s next to it’s sister bar, The Orange Rooms, owned by the same people. It can be pretty difficult to hop between the two places if they’re busy. They have quite different vibes. Bedford Place is probably the best place to go out in Southampton city centre.
