I dont enjoy this bar as much as I used to. Its very central and I have a lot of mates who work round here so I do end up here quite a bit for after works drinks but its not very special anymore and there is never anywhere to sit after 6pm onwards. The woodern industrial interior is really cool and understated but I doubt thats really appreciated now as its so packed you cant see past your beer. The staff have got increasingly unfriendly and rude, I remember when they were as cool as the interiors. I havent been to any DJ nights here for a long time, I stopped going to their night called ‘amplified’ a while ago as it was just so packed you couldn’t get in the door let alone inside, down the satiars to see the actually DJ. The drinks are expensive and the food is pricy for what it is. Dont be fooled by the cleverly worded and PR’d-up menu, its pub grub at the end of the day. One thing is be sure to watch your bag here. One girl got her’s pinched, the thief barged past me to get out and scarpered down the side of the bar, a guy ran after him and disappeared out of sight for a few minutes. He triumphantly rentered the bar to a ripple of appaulse from those who saw what happened and returned the bag to the girl. I hope she bought him a drink for that…. I bet theives have a field day in here as dapsy girls leave their oversized handbags lying around all over the place.
