A trip back in time in this place. they managed to keep the old atmosphere and you would almost except a crusader to emerge from the stairs for a pint.
they have plenty of different beers and still feature games from back then.
the old pub is great to impress tourists but you can find many locals who come and meet there. after all it is meant to be the oldest pub in England.
they do great bites to eat like the little doughnuts and sticky toffee and crips.
just for the history part it would be worth going and reading the explanation on the wall but it is also a great pub with all you can wish for in a traditional english pub.
