Arthur seat is an extinct volcano in the centre of Edinburgh surrounded my Holyrood Park. This is a must see locationf ro anyone visiting Edinburgh and any one who lives here should be thoughroughly ashamed if they ahve not climbed it yet!
The climb to the top is not difficult but for those less able you can drive half way up and look at the views from here or start your climb from here.
The pond at the foot of the hill and the small castle ruins are a favourite with children who like to feed the ducks and swans and climb on the ruins.
Salisbury Crags are also part of Arthur Seat and look spectacular but remember and be careful near the edges.
This is a great place to visit and is absolutley free so get your walking boots on!
