Compliment amethyst (02-05-2008)

I never really considered that Past-Times was my kind of shop but ventured in the other day and was pleasantly surprised by what I found.

Amongst the items that caught my eye were a pretty and practical (although very heavy) cast-iron door mat; a deliciously fragrant tomato and basil scented-candle and a very cute Beatles-themed purse. There’s also a good, reasonably-priced selection of ‘arty’ greetings cards in addition to pretty and practical items for the garden.

Staff were very helpful, although I was mildly amused to see that the back-in-time theme extended to the till. When paying by card, a signature is still required, no place for new-fangled chip-and-pin here…
