Busy, buzzy bar just off Sunset Blvd. It’s dark (finding your way in and out of the bathroom can be difficult), and the wildly eclectic jukebox is loud enough that conversation is difficult.
But the drinks are stiff (and stiffly priced) and it’s a great low-pressure place to hang out. The crowd is mixed and not just beautiful people. The staff were very friendly (of course, as with most places in America, a little early heavy tipping goes a long way later in the evening).
There’s a central bar with seats all around, with laid-back red and black Chinese-accented decor. Get here before 9:30pm if you want a seat, though.
I took a cab, as I’m told that parking is really difficult here.
