I thought I’d review this place because it came as a surprise to me, hidden as it is below in a downstairs lounge. A blackboard usually stands outside to tell you that it’s there. Inside it is more of a bar lounge than a cafe, with a big screen showing Turkish sports, many comfy sofas, and really cheap but nice food. I had a big cup of tea and sandwiches. Definitely a good student place - it’s very near the City Lit and LSE, just off Kingsway. Probably nicer in winter as it’s downstairs and dark, but good if you want to escape the outside noise and hubbub too.
