As ‘Boon’ says in his previous review Deliverance is spread around London and serves food from Italian to Japanese, Thai and Chinese.
It markets itself on being ‘posh’ delivery food for professionals or those who don’t want to cook for themselves but still want fresh food.
This all sounds very tasty and the website and menu is well designed and inviting. In addition the delivery area is quite large.
But… and there is a big but here, the food is poor. With slow delivery times and a high price it’s not unusual for food to arrive cold, wrong or just in very small portions for a large price. My firm often has teams working late and delivery is often needed, every time we’ve ordered deliverance it has not met up to expectation. Sometimes some dishes are very good but often they are not. Particular examples of poor food is anything Japanese related which is NOT fresh, (or in case I am defaming them somehow), really does NOT taste fresh.
If you stick to the more traditional things, pizza, pasta or salad your meal should be fine, if a bit small and with wine or beer it might be a nice break in the evening once. However this is not good for Corporate food, (Despite what the senior on your team might think!). So overall, not great, try something a bit more ‘normal’, I.E Cheaper, larger portion and not ‘posh’. Isn’t that what take-away is all about anyway? :)
