Compliment cliffwaterford (13-05-2007) 4

Four Seasons Chinese restaurant on Queensway attracts often long queues of Chinese visitors, expats, local Chinese and other community and Asian students craving for some good “home style” food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is, with large round family tables, lots of buzz, people everywhere, and sort of Hong Kong style. Service is very efficient but everything besides friendly. This really doesnt matter, it makes it feel even more authentic. (at least to me)

Check this out on a Sunday lunch time, before 12.00 and see the mountain high piles of roast duck, char sui pork, crispy pork belly and other roast meats, which are the speciality and reason to go there, piled in the front window.

It is not the place where you take a timid, fragile just got to know her girl on a first date because she will be traumatised, shocked and won’t eat anything, but with a group of experienced foodie friends who have been abroad at least once in a life, a good Sunday lunch experience.

today I read in the Observer monthly magazine, where there was an article about the best Chinese Restaurants in England, that people apparently fly from Hong Kong to London for the roasted meat and poultry in this place...!
