I have only ever had one bad experience at Daniel Galvin, and that was because I got a parking ticket while I was having my hair done. Other than that, it's delightful. The interior is so chic and glamorous, the staff are all very friendly (I'd recommend Alan the hairdresser - he's lovely), and getting your haircut feels like a real experience. It's not cheap, of course, but it's worth every penny.
