Primark...well, what can I say? It's cheap, cheerful and ethically dubious. The Oxford store provides affordable clothing for locals, students and happy tourist shoppers alike and is much loved by all. The clothes are mainly synthetic polyester and follow simple designs in different colours, but there is a huge variety and it imitates more expensive items that are fashionable very well, so providing you get something that fits, few people can tell it's from Primark. Of course, the unbelievable cost (under £10 for trousers, £3 for some tops) does come at a price and clothes generally don't last. Of course this isn't much of a problem, as they are cheap to replace. For sheer variety, Primark is great, as you can buy lots of clothes for the price of one top from elsewhere. It might not fit perfectly or last very long, but it's great for a fancy dress party or a one-off occasion, and students have been known to buy new underwear as it's cheaper than doing laundry. It also does basic household goods, jewellery, clothes and towels. The service is basic, there are often clothes on the wrong racks and n the floor and the assistants in the changing room eye you up as if you're a shoplifter, but hey, if it saves you £20, it's probably worth it. You'll either love it or hate it, but even the poshest of shoppers is usually tempted by a cheap bargain once in a while.
