A stylish Restaurant & Cafe, located in a classic old Pague building, on the ground floor of the Jalta Hotel, directly facing the Wenceslas Square. Huge windows facing out, with a terrace up front heated for cold days or evening dining. The location is equipped with high ceilings, nice to sit and relax. An open place for a short coffee or a glass of wine at reasonable prices. The restaurant offers Mediterranean menus and a few Czech specialities. They also have live music from 8:00 pm, providing background entertainment, including a pianist at some nights. Update: We also made it for dinner. The Czech menues are good, the service (depending on the waiter) not: Waitress 1 showed up, offered an aperitif, and was never seen again. Waiter 2 taking the menue orders was doing a good job. Waitress 3, offering a dessert, was never seen again. A bit to do there. Update 2: Just listening to a piano player and a guitarist, had cocktails, couple of glasses of wine, but no peanuts. A small coffee shop in a walkthrough between Stepanska and Vaclavske. A disappointing visit: our espresso (no water coming with that) and cappuccino took faaar too long. I was done drinking my espresso while my friend was still waiting for her cappuccino. It wasn't even (but should have been!) realized we were by two, and so the coffeemaking was explained to some of the staff still learning. (John Doe, 18-02-2012) 3

Went to the restaurant in Knowle and found both the food and the service to be excellent. Portions and quality both very good, especially the scallops on the Specials board, which were much cheaper than elsewhere with a much bigger portion !!! The waitresses and Maitre d' provide excellent customer service, old style - you really feel as if you are important to them. Well done - we will definitely go there again.
