Crown Tailor (Bangkok, by Bradley12)

2 Points out of 5

Crown tailors offers a great experience where you are taken through the journey of suit making. Starting from the choosing the style down to the very last detail I was guided and was helped handpicking the style, the cuts, the fabric, the color, hence pretty much everything. The suit was delivered to me at my home in the States. I was updated about the completion of the suit and its shipping which I found pleasantly surprising. When my suit arrived contrary to my pessimistic belief it was a perfect fit. All the money spent was worth it at the end of the day.

I love this place. They have the balance just right. No pretentious, but with decent tables and chairs, decent plates, decent cutlery and wonderful dark setting.

And the food is great value, especially if you compare to other places in Bangkok.

I go here at least twice a month.

MBK - Center (Bangkok, by Kleppi)

4 Points out of 5

MBK is a really huge shopping center. First we were sceptic and we heard it would be quite a seedy place, but after we heard from our tour guide who lives in Bangkok that he does most of his shopping here, we also went there.
Eight massive floors with everything, mostly fake stuff (In the end I was very sceptic and thought that really everything in this centre is a fake).

The upper floors are full with movie theatres and food courts, mostly a little bit more western food and quite expensive for thai conditions.
In the other floors you can shop really everything: electronics, clothes, accessories… you can do you hair, your nails, can go to a tailor…

I just shopped a couple presents for my friends and famiily back home (shirts and little pocket mirrors). Maybe MBK is more expensive, but I liked it because it was one of the cleanest places in Bangkok so far and it was air conditioned what was really nice too, because it was over 30 degrees and very humid.
