WHAT'S ON AROUND THE UK
What better way to start the weekend than watching the UK's finest air guitarists shred it onstage to your favourite rock ballads? The UK Air Guitar Championships final takes place tomorrow at Concorde 2 in Brighton.
On Saturday, the seventh annual Dragon Boat Festival is coming to Cambridge, with boat racing, entertainment and family-friendly fun. Then on Sunday, it's over to The Oaks in Ramsbottom for The World Black Pudding Throwing Championships. The lobbing will be accompanied by a day of live music, and there are prizes aplenty to be won.
Also from Sunday, the Agatha Christie Festival takes over Paignton for a week of murder mystery dinners, vintage tour bus rides and all sorts of sleuthing shenanigans that Poirot (pictured) and Miss Marple would be proud of.
QYPE DOES NORWICH
If you're off to Norwich, chances are you'll know landmarks like the cathedral and the castle. But where else is worth investigating? For shopping, try Prim Vintage, The Book Hive or Soundclash. Then refuel at The Waffle House, established over thirty years ago in a Georgian townhouse, with sweet and savoury options from bolognaise to banoffee.
St. Gregory's Arts Centre (pictured) is a cultural hub featuring regular events and assorted musical instruments for you to try your hand at too. And they have cakes. For boozing, Frank's Bar is a cosy hideaway with board games, books, pancakes, cocktails, Sunday sessions with screenings of classic films and even an art gallery. For more offbeat entertainment options, investigate the Puppet Theatre or Norwich Arts Centre for comedy, cabaret and live music.

BEST OF THE UK'S STATIONERY SHOPS
Is there anything more appealing than the crisp and inky freshness of a stationery shop? We think not. So get out your finest pencils and pads and note down your closest top-notch purveyor...
Pen To Paper in Brighton (pictured) is swish, compact and well-stocked, while you'll find fancy fountain pens and second-hand books at Scriptum in Oxford. Welsh crafty types should investigate Churchills in Pontypridd, and Evans Art Supplies in Dublin has all sorts at wholesale prices.
Spectrum may sound like a 90s rave club, but is in fact one of the few remaining arts and stationery specialists in Birmingham. Finally, we give you Paper Tiger, which aims to have the best collection of designer cards, stationery and small gifts in Edinburgh.
