“ I went to National tyres in kendal 3 weeks ago for a mid range tyre for a Citroen. One of the chaps said'Oh we're far too busy to do that now, you will have to come back later today or tomorrow'' and walked away.So I drove 1 mile to Budget tyres who did the job in 10 minutes with friendly service and competitive prices.Customer service a proper joke in that it is non existent.Up yours national tyres. “ I used to stop here often, as the pies were very good indeed. Today I bought a meat and potato pie, and was disappointed, no -- disgusted at the poor quality. The pastry was thick, fatty and claggy, and didn't taste anything like it should have done, while the filling could have been anything - it certainly didn't taste of meat or potatoes. I was charged £1:85 for this, and after a couple of bites I threw the rest away. I will not go back to this shop. One star for good cheerful service. (chicken42, 14-02-2013) 1

“ Frankly, we had an horrendous lunch here. My vegetarian lasagne would have been more accurately described as a cheese-grease-soup-with-a-few-bits-of-carrot-thrown-in. Absolutely vile. Veg practically non-existent, just disgusting ooze. I asked for it to come with salad, and what I got was a tiny bowl of coleslaw with one small piece of lettuce, a quarter of tomato and quite bizarrely, kiwi fruit, orange, grape and a strawberry in it. I did not order a fruit salad! My sister's jacket potato was dry as a bone, no butter and tuna mayonnaise where the tuna had never even seen a jar of mayo. Same salad. Other sister- 'cheese' toastie- pure grease on fried bread. This place uses the cheapest possible ingredients and you can tell. Our drinks came in thimble sized glasses. Overheard the waitress telling a customer who had asked for a jacket with beans and coleslaw, that this wasn't possible because one filling was hot and one was cold and that couldn't be done.
