“ What a rip off and a con. We saw a menu in the cottage we had rented and thought it was a little expensive for the take away side, but after visiting Ulverston one Sunday they had a board outside and a poster in the window stating 30% off on Sundays and Mondays. That same night we called into Ulverston and placed our order, their was a 1 hour wait but no problem we had a couple of drinks while waiting. We'd added up our bill to about £54 then with 30% off that came too about £38. On collection of our meal we had a bill of £54, we asked as to why we hadn't had our 30% off and was told rather sharply that the menu prices already included the discount of which there was no mention of this on the menu or on the advertising board and poster, and that all of their regulars new this.. We felt ripped off and due to the fact it was so late in the evening and not knowing the area, so wasn't sure if we would get something else to eat we begrudgingly paid the extra £16. Be wary as if you order from the menu we had on any day other than Monday or Sunday then you'll not know until you're ready to pay that you're bill will be 30% extra. “  a great place, to go into, the sight of the jars of sweets lining the walls make your eyes light up. the only problem is that because of it's draw, there is always quite a queue. it is difficult to leave without buying stuff. don't go in the school holidays. if you have a sweet tooth you will be in seventh heaven. they do do gift vouchers.  (Burnus, 18-01-2013) 3

“ the shop is packed with all things chocolatey. the owners are knowledgible and friendly. one of them is borderline diabetic and they are able to offer a variety of very good chocolate which actually tastes good, for my friend with diabetes. you can choose items and have them made up into a basket which they will pack and send send with your message. the handmade chocs are to die for.
