Valentinos is a very clean restaurant but doesn't look authentically Italian, however the food is great. The pizzas are beautiful, freshly cooked, couldnt be better. The pasta dishes although not huge portions, was just enough was flavoursome and fresh. Quite a short menu but usually this means its all cooked to order and yes it is here. You can see into the kitchen and its also spotless and well run. The waitresses were a little over attentive as it was quiet. Lovely food, plain clean interior and at a reasonable price. Not for fancy special occasions but great if you fancy a bit of tea out.

Be warned in advance, this place doesn't serve fish - it serves whales! Or at least very generously portioned sharks... I actually ordered the SMALL - yes, the SMALL haddock portion. If that was a small fish, then only Cap'n Ahab himself could be in with a chance of landing a moderately sized one. Not only massive but also delicious, it was accompanied by rather excellent mushy peas and damn good tartare sauce, and a mountain of chips trying to escape off my huge platter.
My companion ordered the jumbo platter: he did manage to get outside of it, but the effort left him sweating and red-faced. Or perhaps that was the over-heated atmosphere: for some reason the place was about the temperature of the oil the fish was fried in, despite it being full summer at the time. Still, everything else about this meal was pretty much perfection. Absolutely recommended!

We visit Filey each year and tried this chip shop because someone recommended it to us from our apartment block. The staff were really friendly and we had a good natter and the Fish & Chips were excellent large portions and lightly battered fish not greasy. Its a shame they close through winter because we missed it last month when we visited again and tried the chippy next door which was terrible !We cant wait for John & Ginny's to re-open for next time we visit Filey in April.

Cold and wet Sunday left me wanting something hot and spicy. Tried this
place on recommendation from a friend. Noticed a few unusual items on
the menu such as pheasant and venison and a lot of fish. Ordered from
the set menu of three course for 9.95. First course is poppadoms and the
pickle tray. Second was a choice from about 8 starters. I had chicken
wings. Three of them. Not bad but nothing special. Mate had sheesh
kebab. Two spicy sausages of lamb. These were very tasty and moist. Best
part of the meal. Mains were Afghan lamb in a brown sauce and a chicken
in a red sauce called Punjabi taste, promised green chillies but I had
none.. Both meats were cooked but both sauces were bland and virtually
tasteless. They came with a choice of four rice or four bread. We had
one pilau and one garlic naan. We had a reasonable bottle of Malbec for
15 pound with it. Service was friendly and efficient. Open kitchen at
back so you can see them cooking whilst you are waiting outside the only
toilet. I am pretty sure our mains were bland because we ordered from
the set menu. I will go again and will opt for one of the game or fish
dishes. They have a website with the menu on and I suggest looking at
that before you go. Although I have called it a standard curry I am
pretty sure that is down to what we ordered. The menu does promise some
rarer dishes and I am hoping they will redeem this place for me

NYP is a fantastic small dog walking and pet sitting business! They work hard to gain happy clients and pets. They are understanding with different requirements, and are cheap!
We have Amy, (the founder of NYP) walking our two dogs Cookie and Spot, she is great with them both! Before we had Amy, our two dogs were mental! Amy tires them out doing 2 hour walks a day -1 hour in the morning and another hour during the evening. She also feeds and gives them fresh water whilst we're out at work during weekdays. Our dogs adore Amy and we're very lucky to have her!

Thanks to Reighton Nurseries we have just won 1st prize for best garden. We live in Leeds and travel to Reighton every time we want new plants(with lunch in Brid of course). They are the cheapest and healthiest plants we have found, but make sure you leave plenty of time to look round as it is huge! If you visit try and take some kind of plant book with you though as there aren't many staff to ask questions of and many plants don't give too much info. There are literally THOUSANDS of plants so you will be spoilt for choice. We look forward to our next visit..

Superb site best enjoyed by renting a private caravan where you know what you get as Haven's fleet can be a bit tired.Great pools and loads to do, close by to North Yorkshire Moors, Scarborough Whitby and BridlingtonBest tip to save money is to order take away food from nearby Humnaby or Filey who will deliver to your caravan or to the entrance to the Park at a lot less than the park charge. (Best Chinese 'China China', best Pizza Spinners both in Humnamby, best Indian Filey Tandoori, Best Burger West Pier in the complex)The park is well looked after, very secure and very friendly. It has two bars and two clubs, four places to eat and day and night time entertainment. There's a good fishing pond (best bait luncheon meat), boats, bikes, a fairground, slides, high wires, beautiful beach etc etc It's so good I bought a caravan ther five years ago and have never looked back. So relaxing after a hard week to sit on our balcony with a cider looking out over the sea with the sound of seagulls

My wife and I enjoy Italian food but only like one restaurant in Scarborough, Da Claudios. We therefore often come to Filey as we only live in Cayton Bay. This is an excellent restaurant. The menu is bit restricted but the food, which is cooked by the owner, is first class. I like the atmosphere as well, it has a very Italian feel about it and would thoroughly recommend it for a good night out. Average prices for an Italian.
