“ Not many people realise that Toni and Guy have an opticians but I thoroughly recommend that you give it a go! I love wearing glasses but have always been a bit of a cheapskate and bought all my glasses online. But I went to Toni and Guy for a free eye test and was amazed by the choice of frames and also the prices. I assumed that it would be expensive but they have fab offers on throughout the year and the staff are really knowledgable, helpful and friendly. It's a lovely relaxed atmosphere and I felt really well looked after. The website information builds trust but the best part of the service is being able to speak to a professional and courteous Optometrist in the UK. “ A lovely school when my daughter started in Year 1, but have been very disappointed with some aspects of the junior school. Teaching of Maths in the juniors was identified as an area of concern and the lack of supervision when dining meant my daughter was allowed bread and butter sandwiches at lunch for months before I noticed! Standards of behaviour are good and girls make good progress, but there have been too many instances of bullying from other girls, nothing serious, just girls being mean, but this has affected my daughter quite a lot and the teachers seem very dismissive of it. I love the 'pen licence' the girls get issued when their writing reaches a good enough standard. Class sizes are also increasing a lot and I wonder if this is in the best interests of the girls. “ A lovely, small and friendly school with one of the best pastoral systems I have seen. Girls are embraced as individuals, their strengths nurtured and their weaknesses supported. Great for performing arts and music, but also for the more academic subjects - not surprising with small class sizes and such strong pupil - teacher relationships. Communication with parents is good and girls in years 5 & 6 make excellent progress with English and Maths whilst the all round teaching in the junior school is excellent. Senior staff have good relationships with girls and their high standards of behaviour and expectations allow the girls to excel in all they do. For such a small school the range of extra curricular activities such as DofE is surprisingly diverse. Would not hesitate to recommend to any other parents. (Aliminimad-268698, 21-05-2013) 5
