“ Without doubt Allinghams are the finest butchers in Hitchin and probably the finest for miles around. They're situated directly on the market square in the town centre. They're a traditional, old-fashioned type of butchers and do a wide selection of meats. They're very friendly and knowledgeable and will prepare cuts to your requirements and offer advice on cuts you may be unfamiliar with. Their game selection is particularly impressive at this time of year, poultry, venison etc - all delicious stuff. They offer good value too - particularly as you can get the cheaper cuts of meat here that you won't find in the likes of Sainsburys or other supermarkets in town. We bought a brace of partridges there last week for £7 and I think that represented excellent value. Beware though that this is a very popular outlet and the queues can stretch out of the doors onto the street on Saturday mornings! (Felix99, 21-11-2008) 5

“ ‘Browns’ in Watford is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a dress for a special occasion. They appear to have millions of dresses with a variety of styles and designs. I would say that the dresses are most suitable for a school prom or a work ball, but you may even find the perfect bridesmaid dress in there! The staff are normally very friendly and helpful, it is located outside the shopping centre opposite new look which is an ideal central location. Overall i would definatley recommend this to my friends looking for either a party dress or another dress for a special occasion. “ 1 star is generous for these bunch of liars! Thankfully the car is a peach, but never been through so much stress! Was informed on the test drive, after being asked my age (20), that I was eligible for the 7 days insurance. One week later I come to collect the car, and after paying the full amount, the same guy asks me my age again then says I'm not covered by their policy!! I then spend 45 minutes (and £10) on the phone to my insurance company getting them to change the start date of my policy. On top of this the car had been MOT'd, so when I asked for the certificate I was informed that 'they're always in the glovebox'. Surprise surprise it wasn't there, another 5 minutes passed with them eventually finding it. When asked if they would repay me the phone call money, as a goodwill gesture, they refused and said there was a quarter tank of petrol in the car......To top this all off, just as I'm about to leave (after walking out the office keeping my mouth shut) one of them comes out asking me if I would complete a customer satisfaction survey. “ These people are true professionals. They know what they`re doing. The service started perfectly with a very friendly voice when I called this company for a telephone estimate. “ What a shame I went....High prices, badly trained staff and to top it all a bathroom which had not seen a cleaner in a long time.Colour was applied incorrectly, the blow dry was so bad, it fell apart after a couple of hours.When I called to complain, staff was rude, hostile and unhelpful.Newish salon in a small village, I will not be using it again, as customer care is just non-existent.
