Dean City Farm - Wimbledon
39 Windsor Avenue
London SW19 2RR
Dean City Farm is a great place to go for a day out with the whole family or even if you just want to go get in touch with mother nature without leaving London. It costs you nothing to enter the grounds but they will appreciate any donation. The centre works entirely on the help of volunteers and donations, hence the above comment. A lot of kids take riding lessons at Dean City Farm. Dean City Farm has got quite a lot different animals and it is a geat way of petting and learning about new animals without owning animals. Cath Kidston - Wimbledon
3 High Street
London SW19 5DX
Love this quirky little shop. Kath Kidston products are absolutely gorgeous. Very girly and flowery, they make ideal gifts or just a special treat for yourself. There are a lot of kitchen wear items as well as crockery, baby accessories, bags and all other manner of nick nacks. Only issue is the price, everything is very expensive, but then it is a designer shop and everything is very well made. Definitely a place to go when your feeling indulgent. (jmcavoy, 16-11-2008)

books etc - Wimbledon
Unit 6 15-29 The Broadway
London SW19 1PS
Decent bookshop with lots of floor space and good array of books. There really is something for everyone over the two floors and has a particularly good childrens section. There is a cafe on the first floor which overlooks the high street and is good for people watching and whiling away the hours. The cafe offers the usual coffee and cake combinations at reasonable prices. The cafe does not get too busy, possibly people do not realise it is there. They do not always have brilliant offers that can be found in other book chains but sometimes do the 3 for 2 offer. (jmcavoy, 16-11-2008)

La Bottega Delicatessen - Wimbledon
169 Kingston Road
London SW19 1LH
I agree with Katajenka about expense. This deli has fine produce but charge an arm and a leg for its goods. I too would recommend ordering from the prepared pasta and pizzas at lunchtime for the £3.50 - £6 mark. I have had a couple of different lunchtime eating experiences here. It can be a nice place to sit and relax provided you dont mind the constant coming and goings of shoppers, the draft of the door opening and closing, but worst of all the yummy mummies with their crying offspring and conversations you don want (but can't help) to overhear. Personally, there is another Italian bakery which I feel is better for bread (definatly cheaper) and other key Italian products which can be found in tins and packets. This is further down Kingston Road towards Wimbledon chase station. The 3 doors down Hideaway bar is better for eating in on taste, value, and a real restaurant setting as compared with eating in a shop outlined above, but I give credit where it is due and if you have money, this is a great place to buy specialist tasty hams, cheeses, antipasta and cakes. Another World - Wimbledon
98 The Broadway
London SW19 1RH
This is a well set-up tanning and beauty parlour. I have had several treatments there. The facial was fantastic; they included a full shoulder massage and was a very relaxing atmosphere. My skin felt soft for days afterwards. If you ask they will also give you some sample products to try out. (katajenka, 14-11-2008)

Headmasters - Wimbledon
34-42 Ridgway
London SW19 4QW
This is a great hairdressers; they have a range of stylists and seem to shower you with offers when you join up. I received several vouchers for referring a friend; where we both got half price hair cuts. Go with the stylists rather than anyone higher and you'll still get a great haircut. Pizza Hut - Wimbledon
48-50 The Broadway
London SW19 1RQ
This restaurant is pretty standard Pizza hut; the service is reasonable and they are friendly with children. There is no music which always puts me off Pizza hut but it is good for a cheap meal before the cinema. They also do reasonable lunch buffets. (katajenka, 14-11-2008)

South Wimbledon Tube Station - Wimbledon
Morden Road
London SW19 3BP
This station is okay; nothing special, just a normal underground station on the Northern line. pretty deep, usually staffed until about 9pm. Pretty windy in the entrance. It does have a useful shop next to it which is open all hours! Trains run until about 1am from London. (katajenka, 14-11-2008)

Le Pain Quotidian - Wimbledon
London SW19 7QU
All wood interior gives cosy ambiance and on-site bakery makes this chain above average, but at a price. (Mikey_M, 14-11-2008)
