“ This little cafe is excellent. I'm quite new to the area and still finding all the best little places. They do a wide variety of foods from breakfast style sandwiches, omelettes, jacket potatoes, burgers & other grill items. Food is freshly prepared to eat in or takeaway. Lots of Product choices on offer under one roof.  They also sell very tasty pickles, juices, crisps, Indian snacks, papads (various flavours), can foods(fruits / pulses) and a vast choices of masalas & roti flours, pulses and good varieties of dry fruits & nuts plus ready made naans, rotis &Khakhras. “ I'm appalled and offended by the response given by the manager of this pub.  I too was here on St Patrick's Day with friends and this is the first review I have written. My family left after an hour because of the lack of hospitality and rudeness of the staff.  The food I received was very poor and unediable and when I took it back I was ignored and when I repeated that 'my potatoes were cold' I was told ' I heard you the first time' - no apology received. You even made a comment about me to a friend at the bar, my husband overheard - how very unprofessional (and Bitchy)!  I am disgusted to read the lies that are being written about us and our children and cant believe you have done this - you must have cctv in the pub would love to see footage of us breaking furniture and behaving in the way you potray.  About time you woke up !!! you were very happy to take our money !! “ Although our drinks & one our main courses (shahi dosa) came promptly, my main (karahi Karela) ordered at the same time, did not. Fair enough, it was the day after Diwali, and they were busy. However, when my order still hadn't appeared after 25 minutes, I managed to catch the attention of a second waiter, who said he would check. 10 - 15 minutes later, I am still sitting there, with no food, not even the bread I ordered & no word of what had happened, even though the waiter I had asked came out several times. The people sitting at the next table, who arrived after us were served. In the meanwhile, my boyfriend had finished his main course, and I would not have had anything to eat if he had not shared some of it with me. By now, I was waving my arm in the air, trying to get the waiters' attention but they just ignored me. My boyfriend caught the attention of someone I took to be a kind of maitre'd, who gave a qualified apology (after all, we had chosen to visit at "Indian New Year"...). He said he would check, I just asked for the bill. No attempt was made to try to turn the situation around (e.g. they could have could have at least let us have one of the drinks for free). Instead a second manager who took my payment on the way out said much the same as the first (in other words, it was really our fault for coming at such a busy time, and didn't expect us to know about Diwali). As a vegetarian myself, it is disappointing to find such a badly run vegetarian restaurant. It was not so much the error made over the food, as I accept they were very busy, but the total disregard shown to us, and me in particular. (etain154, 28-10-2011) 1
