Priory shopping centre - Dartford
Town Centre
Dartford, Kent DA1 2HR
I love this little shopping centre it has everything I need for a good Saturday out shopping. First off you can park in Sainsburys car park but it's always busy so you may have to wait. It's free for disabled blue badge holders in any bay. Alternatively there is on street parking around the other side of the shopping centre if coming in from where the old Zens nightclub used to be. There are about 6 on street blue badge bays here but no normal parking. Inside the centre there are many varied shops like the 99p store great for bargains as is Wilkinsons, then there's a great Greggs for getting some lunch, there's a cheap card shop, a thorntons, a Peacocks love that store, supadrugs, McDonalds (yuk), as well as much more ie shoes, household, small stalls, nail and beauty shops, furniture etc. Well worth a visit, plus there's an indoor market area with quite a few stalls selling pet foods, clothes, shoes, mobile phone stuff etc it's small but the stalls have been there years. Dartford Borough Museum - Dartford
Market Street
Dartford, Kent DA1 1EU
This tiny museum is attached to the large local library which is set right in the heart of Dartford next to a war memorial and a wonderful flowered garden of interest. The museum itself is free to enter, wheelchair users can request access through the library as there's steps up to the main entrance. The museum is small but wonderfully set out with a helpful guide who will answer any questions. There are exhibits going right back to Saxon and Roman times and then on through the world wars and how it affected local people with heart wrenching personal stories. Then there's a mock up of the inside of an old shop and lots of local news and upcoming events. Well worth a visit whilst having a day out shopping in this vibrant area. (tabun38, 24-11-2008)

Green Spice - Dartford
Green St Green Road
Dartford, Kent DA2 8DP
I have been to this Indian restaurant several times and would always go back to the Green Spice. There is enough parking at the front of the restaurant.Inside the Green Spice they have gone for a modern look.Which set it of nice. There are fish tanks in the back wall which makes the place feel relaxing and calming. They have a lot of staff working there, and they do a great job.The staff are very polite and attentive. The food is more of a traditional style which i prefer. All the dishes are very well priced and you get a lot of food for your money. Each dish is huge. All the food is perfect and tastes great. If you are going later in the evening you should always book as the Green Spice gets very busy. The Green Spice have won numerous awards. david & goliath - Dartford
Bluewater Shopping Centre
Dartford, Kent DA9 9ST
David & Goliath is a clothing store on the upper tier of Bluewater Shopping Centre. They specialise in printed t-shirts with witty comments and pictures. Generally you will find either t-shirts or pjyamas/nighties there. I dont recall them ever stocking jeans or any type of bottoms so to speak! They do offer unusual quirky bits & pieces with funny motifs and sayings. Guaranteed to make you smile! (DaisyMoo, 17-11-2008)

ernest jones - Dartford
Bluewater Shopping Centre
Dartford, Kent DA9 9ST
I was disappointed with the service I received at this particular store. I arrived with the intention to buy a present for my partner which cost a substantial amount of money. I felt the sales staff judged me on my appearance and were not very helpful from the outset (I had just finished a night shift and did not look my best!) When I asked to see the particular product I was looking for, I was told by the sales assistant that it was probably out of my price range! I did not appreciate this and needless to say I took my business elsewhere. I found exactly what I was looking for in a different jewellery store but I felt a great need to return to Ernest Jones in Pretty Woman style & flash my new purchase in their face (I didn't though!) :0) (DaisyMoo, 17-11-2008)

JD - Dartford
Unit 5 The Orchards SC
Dartford, Kent DA1 1AA
JD is in Dartford shopping centre opposite a coffee shop. The JD sports is split in two , one side has footwear and on the other side there is men and children's clothing and at the back we have women's clothing and a few bags. The choice of clothing is limited due to the small size of the shop, it is not bad but they do not have all the ranges.JD sell sport brands like Adidas and Nike. The staff are ok , there only a couple of poeple who work there as it not a big store. There are changing rooms. It dose not get very busy and is ok for a browse. Kent Curry House - Dartford
56 Hythe Street
Dartford, Kent DA1 1BX
The Kent Curry House is nice Indian takeaway and restaurant in Dartford.I have never had a takeaway from them but i have been to the restaurant several times. So i will talk about that. The restaurant offers a choice of traditional Indian dishes at good prices around the four or five pound mark. The restaurant is decorated nicely with Indian landscapes and Indian music is played while you eat your food.It is a relaxed environment for you to enjoy the nice flavours and smells of the Indian food. The food is very good , i have had better but you have to pay for it, for the price they offer a good all round service and you wont be shocked by the bill. Poppins Restaurant - Dartford
44 High Street
Dartford, Kent DA1 1DE
First of all I had problems categorising this ... place. If a restaurant, I couldn't decide of what kind -I don't think it would be flattering for the British if it were one of theirs. So I just labelled it as a 'cafe' ... With the awful regret that I'm damaging the meaning of this word. Poppins Restaurants are supposed to serve multi-choice menu and separate childrens menus -delicious range of meals, snacks, desserts and beverages. Now here's my experience about the one in the small town of Dartford, Kent. This venue was so ridiculously grotesque that I can't hate it. The staff greeted us with open arms -when they saw me and my friends approaching the door. It felt good. We sat down at a table and after short deliberation we decided to order a hot chocolate, an ice tea, and vanilla ice-cream with chocolate sauce. The waiter seemed slightly confused about the ice tea -but then he said "Well, we have ice, we have tea. I'll bring it to you in a minute!". We thought he was joking. Funny guy! Actually, he wasn't. My friend received a cup of hot tea and a big glass of water with some ice cubes in it ... "Isn't this what you wanted?!" We were shocked and couldn't decide whether it's appropriate to burst into laughter or not. I'm a huge fan of ice-creams -I can eat plenty of it even if it's not the best quality. But this one ... actually tasted better after adding to it a bit of salt, pepper, and some vinegar ... But congrats for the hot chocolate! When we wanted to pay, the till wouldn't open, and all three members of staff were struggling to deal with it. It was hilarious. We left tips! I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for that. Very Important Qyper medal for dmj1962

dmj1962 Wow. Bizarre. Hot tea with ice cubes - when it’s on the menu? Thanks for giving me an early morning 'laugh out loud’ moment.
