Clifton Village Fish Bar - Clifton
4 Princess Victoria Street
Bristol BS8 4BP
I found this excellent Fish bar in Clifton Village whilst on business and it is one that obviously cares about its customers and its fish sources. Well priced and competitive in todays market and especially for an affluent place such as Clifton but the proof is truly in the eating. Good sized portions, tasty and well worth a visit. This will not be my last visit here and I can highly recommend it. I have just visited their website too which is highly informative and innovative for a Fish bar. Some top notch restaurants websites do not come close. Next time I will make an effort to visit their new Fish Bar in Stoke Bishop. Well done Marco and his team. (Rosiegarland, 25-10-2011)

Cafe du Jour - Clifton
72 Whiteladies Road
Bristol BS8 2QA
Great little cafe next to all the dross on Whiteladies Road. Run by a friendly frenchman who remembers what coffee you drink even if you (like me) only go in once every few weeks. Good selection of food. Free wifi. A winner. (ybcmark, 19-10-2011)

Gold Car Care - Clifton
79 Whiteladies Road
Bristol BS8 2NT
Excellent valeting service and really pleased with the value for money. I used this company after holidaying in Devon with the children and plenty of sand!! Tried to clean myself but I really wasn't up to it so called in the professionals and was really impressed for my money. Staff nice and friendly. (libertinerocks, 16-01-2009)

The Real Wrap Co - Clifton
11-12 Triangle South
Bristol BS8 1EY
We love this place! Can't really understand the negitive comments above, must of caught them on a bad day? The food is great and served as quick as humanly possible, the wraps are plenty big enough (bigger than the pipe cleaner sized things from the "other" wrap shop) and reasonably priced too. The recipes are imaginative and the ingredients seem to be thoughtfully sourced. Ive never had a bad meal from here. (timmys, 06-06-2011)

The Primrose Cafe - Clifton
Clifton Arcade Boyces Avenue
Bristol BS8 4BJ
The tea in this place is made by people who know how to make coffee. Worst brew in all of Clifton. (AutumnBlues, 10-07-2011)

The Picture House - Clifton
44 Whiteladies Road
Bristol BS8 2NH
picture house east bristol - don't ever go!!! worst service EVER as well as mediocre food (and overpriced to start with)... go to cowshed over the road instead. if that's too dear take a macdonalds, the nosh is better and the staff have better manners. details: slowest service ever, items missed off order, staff with horrendous manners, overpriced, steak cooked not as per order (served as 'medium' by waitress when 'medium-rare' requested), customers next to us having wrong drinks delivered with no apology and rude service and wrong bill brought - then a torrent of abuse from the waitress as the bill they brought was for less than our's should have been...an expensively unpleasant experience. would award zero stars if this site gave me the (jasonk2, 29-07-2011)

Bristolblonde I couldn’t agree more. Was one of our favourite restaurants but it seems to have gone drastically down hill!! Rude waitress, wrong food delivered to our table and the bill was wrong as well! Such a shame as used to be very good

The Lion - Clifton
19 church lane
Bristol BS8 4TX
Just for the ability to bump into Bill Maryon and David Gilroy I will give this 3 rather than 4 stars but make up an extra one for having great food and beer, plus a playground next door. I think 4 stars is a decent return. Expect lots of parents of Hotwells School Children to be here most of late afternoon and early evening on a Friday. Proper community pub. Very recommended. Unless you drive there, which is not recommended. (richard_dennys, 10-06-2011)

Clifton Sausage - Clifton
9 Portland Street
Bristol BS8 4JA
Third visit last evening. A Monday evening and we got the last table. We were hosting a guest from abroad and this the closest thing to typical British fare that we could think of around central Bristol. Not disappointed and our visitor enjoyed. We of course had sausage dishes. I had the tasting plate which was very nice. Mixed platter for a shared starter was also enjoyed by all. Service helpful and unobtrusive. Only suggestion I'd make is to improve the selection of ales beyond the usual suspects. Recommended. (lejomr, 24-05-2011)

White Lion Inn - Clifton
Sion Hill
Bristol BS8 4DQ
If you're from the States, you'll probably find this to be one of the more epic bars you will ever visit. Although the selection of English microbrews is a little lacking in comparison with some other neighborhood pubs in Clifton, it's more than adequate to pleasure your palate. Absolutely absurd location perched on the edge of the Avon gorge with amazing views of the valley and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. (davidmihm, 20-04-2011)
