Stones Bistro - Caernarfon
4 Hole In The Wall Street
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 1RF
Lets get this straight....all three of the stars here are for the food, which was fantastic, 5 star, the ingredients, cooking, presentation and menu were a triumph and clearly why this restaurant is a success. I had Local fresh Mullet for starters, Lamb Shank main (fell off the bone then melted in the mouth) and Almond and Coconut Cheesecake for desert with a couple of glasses of Chilean Merlot. All fantastic. Absolutely stuffed. It's just a shame that that they don't appear to care about anything else! The waiting staff appeared to be very abrupt, one friend surmised our main waiter must have had some military background, however the service was not military precision! we had to ask twice for water, 4 starters came although we ordered 3, so the waiter did the standing at the table thing in some form of disbelieving trance. The decor is dated, and not in a classic or antique kind of way, but again in a can't be bothered vein. We sat at a table with a massive mirror on the wall next to us which made me feel strangely self conscious every time I looked to the person on my left. It is December so we had to suffer a table of 20 noisy pissed people nearby, which didn't help, and due to the cramped nature of the place two waiters managed to bump into me, a third came at me with a tray of empty dirty glasses which required a shuffle to the left to let her pass. Bill came to £108 for 4 of us. Worth it for the food, didn't bother with a tip. (oxygenkiosk, 06-12-2010)

Alexandra Hotel - Caernarfon
North Road
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 1BA
Friendly, traditional style town pub, one of the few in Caernarfon that is unaltered and has retained it's character. Good place for a quiet pint. Various draught beers, Bass, Becks etc. all well kept. Quiet during the week but more lively during the weekend. (BertyBasset, 14-11-2010)

Ship & Castle Hotel - Caernarfon
9 Bangor Street
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 1AT
Another traditional old style pub.Located on the road going out of Caernarfon toward's Bangor next door to Barclay's bank.Go through the main door way and the bar is right in front of you,no more than 3 ft away.A small place however there are plent of seat's there. They have a smoking are located in the back which is coverd over with a awning so people are a little shelterd when it's raining. It has an old feeling to this place with a very relaxed atmosphere in here. The staff are friendly enough and the quality of drinks are good.Never had a meal in there so cant comment on the food. They have a quiz night which can go on for a few hours with free drinks for the winning contestants.Overall a nice pub. Y Beuno - Caernarfon
Clynnog Fawr
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL54 5PB
My first time back since I was sixteen and it's changed quite a bit for the better. The food was good and there was real ale on tap. The only thing is that it's a bit dark inside, but it's an old pub so it's to be expected. (iestynx, 22-08-2010)

Snowdon Mountain Railway - Llanberis
Nant Peris Road
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 4TY
The best attraction in N Wales is also the worst run. During the summer months trains are fully booked by coach parties so if you get up at the crack of dawn and get there in time for the first train, expect a wait of 5+ hours. Apart from a small visitor centre, there is NOTHING to do if you choose to wait. There is the option of booking online 3 days in advance but no chance of a refund if the weather turns to the worst and trains stop halfway or don't run at all. The train ride, if you can actually get on, is one of the best in the world but I refuse to hand over the pricey fare to an attraction that treats its visitors so shabbily. (rostron71, 16-08-2010)

Vaynol Arms - Nant Peris
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 4UF
Frozen food in a dreary atmosphere. Though springlike, clouds soon made the evening chilly and I had been walking all afternoon so decided to eat here instead of heading back to the next village ( Llanbeis) My mistake! After Petes eats, this was an expensive meal and tasteless as it was microed. The beer is fine though. (JulianVery, 19-04-2010)

Cibyn Clinic - Caernarfon
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 2BD
I have used this practice for four years now, I have a cat who has type two diabetes, which was dig last June. I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. I always see the same vet and she has been outstanding in the care given to my cat. She has gone above and beyond what I expected many times. The place is always clean, with no smells of urine and the like. It is purpose built, and the staff use the areas well, but its very well designed. I have seen "backstage" so to speak, and its so clean and well org. So glad I found them to treat me beloved cat. B & K Williams - Caernarfon
South Road
Caernarfon, Gwynedd County LL55 2HP
Had a tyre loosing air. Took it to this garage and they took a look at it straight away and did the work within the hour, phoning me when done. Prices were good. Ballpark £11 to fix or £48 for a budget replacement with balancing and valve inc VAT and old tyre waste disposal. Staff were helpful and friendly, explaining without being patronising. The old tyre was retained and shown to me, and I made payment by credit card. The garage is part of the 'Good Garage Scheme'. All in all a happy tyre fixing experience. (oxygenkiosk, 08-10-2009)
